Adyen customers to be offered RatePAY’s open invoice payment solution August 10, 2016

Global payment provider opts for simple, rapid payment solutions from Berlin

Adyen has achieved what few European start-ups have done before: the profitable payment company has been included on the Unicorn List, making it one of the world’s most lucrative start-ups. Adyen’s clients, which include internet giants such as Airbnb, Uber, Spotify and Netflix, now also have the opportunity to use RatePAY’s open invoice payment solution.

Adyen is one of the world’s most successful fintechs. Nearly all internet giants use the payment platform, which allows merchants to process payments via over 250 payment methods in more than 150 currencies – online, on mobile devices or at the point of sale. Adyen’s portfolio of payment methods will soon include RatePAY’s open invoice. It will be offered to customers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The first customer to offer RatePAY open invoice payments through Adyen is Casper, another start-up worth millions.

Miriam Wohlfarth, Founder and Managing Director at RatePAY: “In choosing to work with RatePAY, Adyen is placing its trust in one of Germany’s leading payment providers. International merchants looking to trade successfully in Germany, Austria and Switzerland cannot ignore open invoice payment, as this is the single most popular payment method in Germany. Our payment solutions make the transaction process easy, efficient and stress-free for all merchants”.

Volker Steinle, Country Manager Germany at Adyen: “We are delighted to partner with RatePAY, and together offer merchants a new payment option in the form of open invoice. Our customers sell their products and services worldwide, and are conscious of the fact that tailoring their payment portfolio to local markets is crucial to the success of their business. RatePAY’s open invoice payment method, which is so popular in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, supplements Adyen’s global payment platform perfectly. Another reason for choosing RatePAY was that their valuable payment solutions can be seamlessly integrated into the checkout”.
