Berlin, June 24, 2025
Leading white-label payment provider Ratepay and established financial services provider Consors Finanz have teamed up to develop an enhanced Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) solution for merchants. As of now, Ratepay and Consors Finanz offer their partners an expanded version of the open invoice and direct debit products. A special feature: The invoice amount can be financed subsequently at the request of the end customer. This allows for maximum repayment flexibility.
Thanks to the proven white-label approach, the merchant benefits from a BNPL offering under their own branding. Payment processing and communication are handled with the merchant’s own brand. This ensures that they retain control over the customer relationship and strengthen their brand.
Sabrina Flunkert-Glinzer, CEO of Ratepay, comments: “German consumers have long trusted invoice payments for their ease of use and reliability. Through our partnership with Consors Finanz, we are enhancing this proven payment method, offering the flexibility shoppers increasingly demand while maintaining the security they expect. This innovation represents our commitment to further developing payment solutions that meet the needs of merchants and consumers alike.”
“This partnership of an experienced white-label provider with an established financing partner is currently unique in the market and offers several advantages,” says Oliver Schurack, Head of Retail Financial Solutions at Consors Finanz. “With the new solution, the retailer retains full control over the transaction, secures higher conversion rates by focusing on its own brand, and at the same time offers customers real added value through the additional convenient repayment option.”
Invoice payment remains the most trusted payment method in Germany – preferred by 83% of shoppers[1]. The Ratepay and Consors Finanz partnership extends this solution with unprecedented flexibility that meets the expectations of modern consumers.
